Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ OFFERS MEMBERS NEW DISCOUNTS WITH THE FAMILY BUSINESS INSTITUTE

Washington, D.C. — The Associated General Contractors of America (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ), the nation's largest commercial construction trade association, today announced a new strategic relationship with the Family Business Institute (FBI) that will offer its members significant savings. FBI joined the 11 other organizations with which Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has agreed to offer discounts to its 33,000 member firms.

"In these uncertain economic times, we place an emphasis on delivering added value to our members," said Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ's chief executive officer, Stephen E. Sandherr. "We are selective in choosing these organizations and proud to offer an opportunity for our contractors to develop even stronger business practices and help keep Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ members competitive."

The Family Business Institute (FBI), experts in family–owned and closely–held businesses, will provide Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ member company executives with the opportunity to participate in professionally facilitated Performance Roundtables. A Performance Roundtable consists of seven to ten non–competing Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ members whose firms are similar in sales volume and type of work. Members of the roundtable form an informal board of advisors and meet regularly to discuss industry issues, growth opportunities, and business building strategies in an open and supportive environment.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has long provided discounts to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ members through recognized vendors as part of its members–only affinity program. There are currently 12 Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ partners that offer discounts to members, ranging from vehicle rentals, package delivery, mobile office products, fuel and fleet management.

The Associated General Contractors of America (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ) is the largest and oldest national construction trade association in the United States. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ represents more than 33,000 firms, including 7,500 of America's leading general contractors, and over 12,500 specialty–contracting firms. More than 13,000 service providers and suppliers are associated with Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ through a nationwide network of chapters. Visit the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Web site at .
